Entered Rhythm & Hues Studio's [R&H] BgPrep/Roto Apprentice Program. R&H is an Animation / Vfx Studio based in El Segundo, LA. One of its division is Feature Film. Some of their credits was, The Golden Compass, Narnia (the 1st ones), Alvin and The Chipmunks and many more. The program was good. Spend 8 weeks at their facility at Cyberjaya. Graduated last end of March.

Now am a Jr. BgPrep/Roto TD at Rhythm & Hues.

If you noticed, I changed the header. I scan some of my UK/Euro negatives. Boy it costs me some money, A LOT money. Thinking of investing on an Epson film scanner.

Went down to Singapore last January. Went check out the new Universal Studio Theme Park. Awesome place. If you're looking for a real theme park, its highly recommended. Next stop, Universal Studio US.

Took some Horizon pics there, but haven't got the time to develop and scan em', plus, I still got some roll of films that needs to be expose.

I am back. Back from my studies, more like traveling I guess. Been back for a week now. Looking for a job with a good pay now. Sitting at home is REALLY BORED.

Ok, enough with that. The reason being why I am so bored. All the while (the last few weeks in Liverpool) when I am in Liverpool and Europe, there is one thing that I can't wait to do when I got home is to go a date with my desktop. I can imagine that happen when I was cruising the river Seine in Paris. Playing Assassin's Creed 2, while waiting for Brotherhood to be launch in November. All that vanished, when I got the news that my graphic card koyak. Aigoo...

On the other hand, A Thousand Suns was lunched on Sept14. The 4th studio album by Linkin Park. I was at Lauterbrunnen, Swiss Alps. I din waste any chance that i got when I am in London. Got to HMV and discover that they don't have the CD+DVD version of the album. Called DJ, and he told me that Malaysia's version of ATS doesn't have the Parental Advisory label, which means that all the F words will be silenced. So, in desperate need of the new album plus the F wordings so that the song won't have awkward stops, I fly to Dubai and got 1 there. Cost me 80++ ringgit. Went out yesterday, stop by at one of Mid Valley's music shop, its selling at 50+ ringgit, haih... but never mind lah...

The new concepts of the album is awesome. Have a go with it if u guys have a chance, I recommended it.

Saw the new Resident Evil : AfterLife, awesome. The intro to the movie, its like Naruto's Bunshins but Alice Style. AWESOME.

Recently, I don't know why, I like Flannel shirts. There's something to it, that make me like it so much. And, the flowery shirts. Up to date, I got like three of them. I like the one that James May always wore in Top Gear, the blue ones. Try get my hand on those.

In the mid of it all

Its 25th of July. Went shop for groceries. Bought some stuff for dinner. Stop by Primark. I've been wanting for this one particular shoe for a time now, can't seem to be getting the correct size, up until today. Manage to get the right size. Without hesitate, I bought the shoe. How nice.

Went up to the Lake District on 24th July. It was nice up there, the mountains, the woods, the lakes. But before we could see the one of many lakes, we had a moderate hiking. The hike is through for all the road is full of animal mainly sheep, cow and dogs dump. Not to mention the terrain is hard and uneven. Half way trough, we stumble across a waterfall. Very nice waterfall. After an hour of hiking that is. Because the waterfall was quite big, we thought that it must have been the lake, who supply the water. We almost give up, because after 30 mins of hiking, we still can't see the source of the waterfall. It must be hiding behind the mountain. But the thought of not seeing a lake in Lake District is very disappointing. It was really a relief when I saw the big lake hiding behind those big mountains. It was really nice up there.

Thank GOD, 2 module is finally D-O-N-E with. I am quite happy with my result, even though I got a C for the Convergence Media's presentation. Hope I score well in others.

19th July. My birthday. What happened? Nothing. It went away like a wind. Not to mention, only 4 people wishes me on that day. How sad and miserable I am. The only chance of celebrating my birthday in other people's land is gone. I guess because of the assignments. But it guess I am okay with that. Its been the same all the years before. I know what I should get myself, the complete box set of A Thousand Suns, YAY!

Went Cheshire Oaks again on 16th July. I told myself that I am only gonna buy a shirt. Ended up with one shirt from Ted Baker, one Adidas Originals Vespa Limited Edition Jacket, and some small bottle perfumes. Alamak!

Been shopping alot, ALOT. Up to date, I think I already spend like 220GBP. God thats alot. 2100ringgit alot. I didn't even buy any designer's stuff yet. Just came back from another shopping spree. 20GBP gone. Gotta control.

Legs been killin me this 2 days... can't even walk properly. Plus the itch from the new boxer. Its just great. Told my self, Take it like a man...

Incubus. They're great for walking... playing now, Just A Phase, from the album Morning View. Highly recommended.

Still can't find any place to scan my films... last resort would be the Fuji Lab.

One more thing for the blog that I forgotten, crap. I'll come around...

UK. Finally I am here. Not really thrill about it. I figure its just another place so far, but I am still here on earth, maybe if I am going off to Pandora ke, maybe la... But, non the less, UK is UK, Liverpools' AWESOME, people here are friendly, when they say Malaysian are friendly, they do the same here in Liverpool.

John Moores Uni. is where I am studying in. Their buildings are scattered all around Liverpool City Centre, so walking is the cheapest means of transportation. We're base in Liverpool Innovation Park, where Liverpool Screen School is. Its like 5 miles walk, 1hour plus of long walk. But the weather's nice here, although it gets really cold sometimes when you wish you're back in the comfort of your bed. I like the way they teach here. Its much more fun compare back in Malaysia. They don't know how to make a engaging ways of learning.

Met few of the lads around, they were all crazy, friendly, carefree. 1 thing I know for sure, if they sees anyone with camera, they will sure ask if they could help ya take a pic or 2. And they don't mind being in it too.

Took lots of pic during the stay here, but they can't print or scans any of them, for my films shots panoramic scenes... Found a shop who could do it, but it'll take me 2-3weeks to get it done. I'll just maybe send it anyway, considering thats the only choice I have. Next week, yeah, next week after the trip to York.

How is the environment here? To tell you the truth, its just like in Malaysia, picture Pavillion, the fountain in front of the main entrance, lots of people there right? Okay, now picture those people being white man and women not forgot to mention the blacks and other races. Liverpool1, 1 of the biggest 'mall' around. Basically a big open space mall (can't have it in Malaysia due to the wether condition(hot and hot plus pouring rains)). Pavillion is very near to it.

Got a meeting at 2PM later, its 25 past 12 now. Better get ready for the journey ahead lies far and cold.

Anyway, I got my new toy with me, damn, got not enough films to burn... DIE. I'll figure out something.

Horizon Kompakt

Got my Horizon Kompakt last Friday. Damn happy, in the same time, damn sad. Cost me 1000buks plus for it. I wish i had that 1000buks like 2 jobs ago... cause then I can get my hands on those Perfekt, damn...

Anyway, I'll have to make use of what I have in my hands.

Kompakt.

Nice, the swinging lens make me can't wait for the lab to develop my film. The sound of it will make EVERYONE look. and say,"what the **** is tht?", especially when you dial it for faster shutter... Its heavy, I thought it was made by plastic, but as soon as I held it, man, its heavy. Metal I think. The Perfekt is slightly heavier though...

Sole reason of buying if pre-maturely, cause Im going to the UK real soon. With the Kompakt, I get to shoot UK in panoramic scene like I never seen before.. haha...

Can't wait...

I was out yesterday, Monday. Met up with a dear friend of mine in Sunway Pyramid. She got a meeting earlier, so I have to wait for her like an hour or so... What to do? Jalanjalanpusingpusing satu pyramid. Now only i realize that there is nothing much to do there. I don't get it how are those people can hang around there for the whole day. Maybe if you goin for a movie or the ice ring, then thats another story.

So, about 1ish like that, she arrived, and saw me sitting by Ronald McDonald while playing PSP. Had a small chat, den we went subway for lunch. After discussing on what is the best ingredient for the sandwich, I go and say this, "I like Italianise, Chillies and TGIF was okay, Tony Romas SUCKS. Ehh, here got Italianise wor....", then she said, "Come lets go Italianise! We share the lunch special."

So we did. Got to Italianise, its like they haven't open yet. Nobody in, or out, until the lady came out and tend us. Mana tau, the lunch special promo sudah habis, lucky got the 2 course meal thingy. Orderd a small pizza for starter, a HALF chicken for the main course.... makan a bit only... da pou back the rest. How to eat? The BMT is all over me...

Anyway, its nice la get to catch up with her. Meeting her up again somewhere May before flying to the UK. I got a feeling I will be out most of the time during May...

Yay... Or should I say haih...

I ordered a Horizon Kompakt couple of week ago. Was suppose to go collect it last Saturday after my NewMedia paper.

It sucks that I have to re-sit the paper for like 3 times. Its kinda my fault, cause I didn't really study hard on it. But after 3 sems of re-sitting it, plus Im goin to the UK for my Degree, I have to pass it this time. Thanks to Aaron, I think I can pass it this time.

Anyway...

I called Basheer, and they said that the Kompakt is here(yay!). I guess in order to get something, you have to sacrifice something. In this case, my bank account. But i guess it'll worth every penny. Can't wait...

Worst than a can of sardine...

Was on my way back home from setapak yesterday. everything was okay in the LRT, got a place to sit, enjoying the air-cond, got the time to read my book. Okay, got to KL Sentral, hungry pulak. McD offer a variety of cheap good burger. Train leaves to Rawang at 5.15pm. Slightly late, I got on the platform on 5.25pm. I thought i was late, but then there's a lot of people waiting also.

I was like, h-mmm... maybe it a little bit late gua... den 5.30pm, still no train. 6.05pm. The train finally came. The ****ed up part was, the already a sardine train, is gonna be like more n more n more sardine can. So I decided to wait for the second train which is comin inlike 6 min time. Train came, again, sardine can.

I manage to slip in. But the other passanger outside, keep pushing in. For about 3 stations, everyone who was in the train was pissed.

Man, I'll never take KTM to Rawang on Fri anymore.

Jian How and me was waiting for nD at one of Maybank ATMs when Jian How break the silence by telling me the story about the stupid robber who robbed a cheque deposit machine. How stupid they was until they can't even differentiate between an ATM and a bank deposit machine.

Then I told him, what if one day the bank officers went to the office the next day and noticed that the door had been broke in. But to his surprise NONE of the machine was stolen. He then discover that, one the vase used to decorate the office was gone missing. I told him, "hmmm... maybe the robber couldn't break any of the machine, then he say ""I die die oso something MUST folo me back home. AHA!! The vase!!"". That really break a big laugh back then.

Aite, time to finish up the remaining 2sec of my 30sec motion graphics , until then, Sayonara.
